Title:
mozilla thunderbird does not allow import of existing data

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  1. Ubuntu 9.10
  2. Canonical Version 2.0.0.24
  3. Multiple installing (and removing the .mozilla thunderbird folder) the
option to take over existing data is offered but there is no next screen, which
allows to allocate the place where the required file can be found.
  4. Instead the program offers to open a new mail account. But I should have
the old data to work on them.
