Title:
Thunderbird : Cursor jumps to "search all messages" after every entry

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

Any keyboard stroke (up, down, delte) results in the cursor jumping to
the "search all messages" field (after action is correctly executed).
This is a major nuisance since I can't use arrow keys for mail sorting
  any more..
