Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with hplip. You made
this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu and hplip have been updated since
then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 1562516
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Missing /usr/share/hplip

Bug description:
The /usr/share/hplip folder is missing.
Probably everyone uses who upgraded package is still using
/usr/share/hplip from old version.
Some commands:
$ dpkg -x hplip_3.15.7-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb /tmp/out/
$ ls -l /tmp/out/usr/bin/hp-setup
lrwxrwxrwx 1 wieczyk wieczyk 23 wrz 18 2015 /tmp/out/usr/bin/hp-setup ->
../share/hplip/setup.py
$ find /tmp/out/ -name setup.py | wc -l
0
$ dpkg -c hplip_3.15.7-0ubuntu4_amd64.deb | grep setup
-rw-r--r-- root/root 1764 2015-09-18 02:38
./usr/share/man/man1/hp-setup.1.gz
lrwxrwxrwx root/root 0 2015-09-18 02:38 ./usr/bin/hp-setup ->
../share/hplip/setup.py
As you can see there is no setup.py
