Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with hplip. You made
this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu and hplip have been updated since
then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 1661808
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

hp-setup insists on trying to retrieve key from pgp.mit.edu
Command executed by hp-setup :
/usr/bin/gpg --homedir /root/.hplip/.gnupg --no-permission-warning
--keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 0x4ABA2F66DBD5A95894910E0673D770CDA59047B9
(1) This is even if key is already in the key ring. It should have checked
the key ring for existence and skipped if it exists.
(2) It not using hkp://pgp.mit.edu and therefore fails to download key
