Title:
Brother IntelliFAX 2820 driver not detected
Status in system-config-printer package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: system-config-printer
The Brother IntelliFAX 2820 printer is not detected correctly. The
packages needed are brother-lpr-drivers-laser and brother-cups-
wrapper-laser. However, when Ubuntu detects the printer it notifies
you there are no drivers for it. The printer will work, but only if
you download and search the drivers yourself.
The printer's computer name is Brother FAX-2820, and the driver's name
is FAX2820 for CUPS.
This bug has been present in 10.04, 10.10, and 11.04, with all updates
installed.
