Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with the
system-config-printer package. You made this bug report in 2012 and Ubuntu and
the system-config-printer package have been updated since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 1079434
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Canon ip4200 printer installed won't print

Bug description:
Installed my canon pixma ip4200 printer in ubuntu 12.04.
Installed correctly
when i print something the print job goes to the queue
dissapears from queue
nothing is printed.
The printer does nothing visible...
printer does not 'hang' or anything else, it's just not printing
