So I tried hpijs 3.16.11. Here is what I installed. Now that its working I don't want to uninstall what seems unecessary such as hpcups. sudo apt-get install hpijs-ppds printer-driver-hpijs cups sudo apt-get install --reinstall printer-driver-hpcups Dans http://localhost:631/admin Add Printer HP LaserJet 1010 Check "Share This Printer" Driver HP LaserJet 1010 hpijs 3.16.11 (en) Media Size : A4 Printout Mode: Normal Media Source: Printer Default Double-Sided Printing: Off I can print text file as well as pdf file smoothly.
