system-config-printer package. You made this bug report in 2013 and Ubuntu and
the system-config-printer package have been updated since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 1367571
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

network printers are visible always

Bug description:
By default, auto discovered network printers are visible in
system-config-printer and in other programs like libreoffice.
There is option in "View-Show discovered printers". But printers are visible
independed of this option value. Refresh button don't change anything.
As I know, there is option on cups server like "show network
printers". This option was impemented in previos version of system-
config-printer (in Ubuntu 12.04) and worked correctly.
Now, this option moved in "Additional options" in CUPS web interface.
But it don't work too!
