Hello Ktulu,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with the hplip
package. You made this bug report in 2008 and Ubuntu and hplip have been
updated since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run
the following (only once):
apport-collect 193959
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.
Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.

Title:
low on ink details
Status in hplip package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: hplip
Hi.
I have a problem with my HP PSC1510 printer. When my printer is low on ink,
it is displayed by gnome but I cannot know which cartridge is empty. It just
warn me that it is low on ink.
I have tried to install hplip toolbox, and with that, I can know which one is
empty.
So I think it is possible to have a message which says which cartridge
is low on ink. For beginer users, I think it is an important details
because hplip is not installed by default and they are not supposed to
know they have to install this kind of tools.
Thanks
PS : I'm using Ubuntu 7.10.
