Same problem. With the "Auto-hide" dock, moving a non-maximum window to left edge of screen the dock hide. At this time, once you click background of desktop (all window lost focus) and moving mouse cursor to left edge will NOT unhide the dock. The cursor must leave left edge and move to it again, the dock will unhide.
