Title:
CPU Usage spikes to 100% and causes laptop overheating

Status in “gvfs” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I have noticed this problem several times now after connecting to a machine
via SSH through the Nautilus file manager. It doesn't happen every time, but i
has happened a few times over the last week. The issue is that I notice a
process called "gvfsd-sftp" that takes up 100% of my CPU. This process stays on
and doesn't go away, and it also causes my laptop heat to spike up, even with
the fan at full speed. Last time, it brought my temperature to 96 degrees
Celsius.
