Bug description:
The version of libmtp included in Xenial does not recognize the Amazon
Fire HD 8 2017 version. This bug seems to have been fixed at least in
1.1.13 (although it does log an error, and that error log is fixed in
1.1.14).
I've tried to backport both 1.1.13 and 1.1.14 to my system (xenial)
but copying files via thunar will occasionally freeze the system, so
maybe something else needs to be updated as well.
