Title:
Firefox memory issue with new Google Images
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox
Firefox 3.6.8; Ubuntu 10.04, fresh install (as well as previous Ubuntu
version).
With the new Google Images, see http://www.google.com/imghp, browsing
a while searching for images, the amount of memory used steadily
increases. My system becomes very slow (unusable) after all memory is
consumed. Memory can only be released by closing Firefox again. Not
sure how to test what specifically causes this (Firefox, Java, etc).
Note: I did not yet install Flash plugins yet.
Feel free to give tips to pinpoint the problem, or indicate you have
the problem as well.
