HP Photosmart 1215 won't print landscape

Bug description:
When I try to print landscape to the HP Photosmart 1215, I can set
that as appropriate, but it prints in Potrait instead. Found in
Firefox and LibreOffice writer.
Ubunto 11.10
Installed hplip but problem still occurs.
