Public bug reported:

If my HP Laserjet 3320 encounters an error, such as 'paper jam', the
error message is displayed at the beginning of the subsequent print job,
after the error occurs and after it is cleared.

I think the error message should be displayed when the error occurs, not
after it is cleared. Obviously the error register on the printer is not
being polled properly. This bug probably pertains to the entire HP
Laserjet 3300 series MFP devices.

This bug has existed for some time, but it wasn't always there.

I'm actually using Debian. But upstream bug reports are indicated to go
to bugs.launchpad.net. The bug is probably not dependent on anything but
hplip.

** Affects: hplip (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
