Then when the screen is unlocked, I can move the mouse cursor, and clicks on the top menu, e.g. on the network button or the shutdown button work perfectly, but a click on an open window like a terminal or on firefox does not give focus to the window and I cannot write into the terminal. Also, shortcuts like the Windows key or Windows+tab key are not working. I can only solve this by rebooting.
