As you probably now know most applications that you can be installed
from the Ubuntu repositories. There should be no meed to download from
an application's own website. Always use a package manager such as
'Ubuntu Software', 'Software Center', Synaptic, or apt/apt-get in a
terminal for such installations.
Good to know that you're now using the latest Firefox version. I'm
closing this bug report as being "Invalid" as it was filed using a
package that did not originate from the Ubuntu repositories.

downloaded tar.gz and archive manager reads the files and begins to
