Hello Ioanna, or anyone else affected, Accepted ghostscript into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ghostscript/9.25~dfsg+1-0ubuntu0.16.04.3 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
