Title:
  firefox causes high hard disk load

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

  I am using firefox-3.5.

  At least every day, but also once in a while the program causes very high
disk load that makes it impossible to us ethe computer until it's shut down by
force.
  I tried also the solutions given in:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/215728

  This may have two resons:
  * many websites with multimedia content and API connectors (the usual stuff
nowadays)
  * bookmark synchronisation

  but without help. this is quite annoying. Please advice.
