We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.
Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) reached end-of-life on July 17, 2014.
Do you still see a problem related to the one that you reported in a
currently supported version of Ubuntu? Please let us know if you do and
in which version of Ubuntu as I can't reproduce the issue with gedit
3.28.1 in Ubuntu 18.04.
Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

Title:
gedit "Save as..." is disabled when file is opened read-only
Status in One Hundred Papercuts:
Incomplete
Status in gedit package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
To replicate:
1: Use firefox to download a file of a type that automatically opens
read-only in gedit
2: From gedit, try to save the file to another location using "Save as..."
from the File menu.
Both "Save" and "Save as..." are greyed out, but the ideal behaviour
is to disable only "Save", leaving "Save as..." still enabled.
