The bug is old without recent report, closing. Better to open a new
report if there is still a similar issue in recent Ubuntu versions

An additional monitor appears inside gnome-control-center Displays.
Doesn't seem to be effecting the other screens. I can still
successfully extend and mirror my laptop screen with my hp monitor. I
attached a picture showing the ghost screen.
