Title:
ALT and WIN keys are swapped

Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

When I used e.g. irssi over screen, I have to switch to window 2 with
WIN-2 instead of ALT-2. Under Keyboard Layout options under Alt/Win
key behavior I have selected "Meta is mapped to win keys". My
understanding of that is that it does what it says, my WIN left/right
keys are now Meta left/right. But due to some bug this changes the ALT
(not meta or win as could be expected) key behavior in gnome-terminal.
All other applications seem unaffected from what I can tell so
  submitting this for gnome-terminal.
