Bottom status lines and "OK" and "Cancel" buttons not visible

Bug description:
When configuring your settings you can not see the "OK" and "CANCEL"
buttons unless you have the windows maximized. I spent hours trying
to figure out why my settings were not being saved.
Also, unless you have the main window maximized you can not see the
status line at the bottom to see what is happening when checking for
new mail.
