Sidebar truncated in vertical view

Bug description:
When the sidebar is active and the vertical view is selected, the sidebar is
truncated (not completely visible) and you can't resize the window on the right
side (one-directional resize) from the middle edge of the window inwards.
Note: you may have to toggle between the horizontal view and the vertical
view to get this bug to show.
