Title:
Bring back the old 'compact' format, coz the latest one is (a) not
compact and (b) not compact and (c) has a teenie zoom level

Bug description:
If you don't want to replace the current 'Compact' (Ctrl-3), then
(re-)create a new (or improved) 'Really Compact' and use Ctrl-4.
Secondly, the zoom size on Ctrl-3 is tiny. The older 'Really Compact'
format used to zoom to the same level as Ctrl-1.
