Title:
Remove old vte package from Ubuntu
Status in vte package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
NOTE
====
Debian's debian-installer (specifically cdebconf-gtk-terminal I believe) uses
a udeb from the old vte package. See https://bugs.debian.org/887649
Original Bug Report
===================
The old vte source hasn't been maintained upstream since 2011 (when GNOME 3
was released). vte will be dropped from Debian Testing as soon as the
debian-installer is ported. The replacement is provided by source vte2.91
(which requires gtk3).
sjterm was already requested for removal in LP: #1728241
$ reverse-depends src:vte
Reverse-Depends
===============
* stjerm (for libvte9)
