Firefox under Unity causes Xorg cpu spike

When I load
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+source/linux/+bug/773710 in
Firefox and try to scroll or page down, it hangs briefly and the Xorg
cpu usage goes to 100%. I am using a Thinkpad W510 with unity and the
nvidia binary drivers.
