I discovered after logging the bug that the cause was that the normalised files exceeded the capacity of the CD (700MB), even though the display (to the left of the Burn button) showed 5 minutes free.
Having de-selected some files the CD was burned successfully. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/902923 Title: Freezes when writing audio CD after normalizing Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: debug log attached ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: brasero 3.2.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic i686 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Dec 11 21:19:38 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/brasero InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100429) ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SourcePackage: brasero UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-12-11 (0 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/902923/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
