Title:
umount of luks encrypted device not complete
Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
i dont really know if this is related to nautilus, but its the main
gui for this task.
prerequesites:
- ubuntu 12.04 lts default setup with lvm2
- available lvm2 logical volume to setup luks. for this example
/dev/mydisk/test will be used.
do the following to set up luks:
- luksformat -t ext4 /dev/mydisk/test
openup nautilus
- on the upper left, the encrypted device should be listed.
- click on it to mount. enter passphrase. mount should be ok.
- now try the umount icon in nautilus. umount worked, but...
but the luksdevice is still open. you can lookup with:
dir /dev/mapper/ | grep luks
if you do want to open the device in nautilus again it wont work, because its
still open.
to proper close the device you could do something like a
sudo cryptsetup /dev/mapp/udisks*
