  disk unit names truncated more than necessary on the left-side panel
  at default size

Bug description:
  See screenshot: the name of the ejectable disk units is displayed as a mere 
"..." when there's more than enough space to show at the very least the first 
two or maybe three characters.
  This is the default size of the left panel without touching it.
