Im not sure if its barrier or sticky that comes into play. I was able to disable it on 16.04 as described above.
Multi screen (two) Dock on Primary monitor only Left Side Auto Hide Issue, Mouse sticks at monitor join edge. It occurs only when moving the mouse from primary to secondary at the top of the screen. Could it be the desired effect to prevent passing by the system dropdown (sorry dont know what else to call it). In any case, its quite annoying when you just want to move across because you have to remember to drop the cursor below the stick/barrier to get to the second screen.
