Title:
Ugly Firefox icon because of firefox.png in ~/.thunderbird
Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:

Low res. Firefox icon appears in my Unity few seconds after every
logon.
So I search for all the firefox icons on my system, and find out that
the icon comes from,
~/.thunderbird/yprpxtt3.default/extensions/{9533f794-00b4-4354-aa15-c2bbda6989f8}/chrome/skin/icons/linux/hicolor/22x22/apps/firefox.png
By just renaming that I could get the default Firefox icon back.
