Title:
Shell text and some icons have sharp edges during zoom

Status in mutter package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  [Impact]

Shell text and some icons have sharp edges during zoom. Screenshot attached.
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/387

  [Test Case]

  1. Settings > Universal Access > Zoom = ON
  2. Click on the time/calendar and look closely at the font edges.
Expect: the edges should be smooth when zoomed.

  [Regression Potential]

Low potential effect on other parts of Gnome Shell. The code being
changed is only used in shell popup menus at the moment.

  [Other Info]

This is not an important bug at all. Its fix is just a happy
consequence of fixing the more important bug 1767648, so that's why it
  is getting SRU'd - for bug 1767648.
