Title:
Files doesn't snap to the sides

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
With the default Ubuntu install you cannot snap Files to the side of
the screen on a 1366x768 screen. An application won't snap if it
cannot be resized to half the screen size, and the minimum width of
Files is clearly slightly larger than this.

Adjusting the minimum width by a few pixels would seem to be the best
option (that may be subjective). This may, however, be considered also
as a side effect of the Ubuntu Dock down the left hand side, which
reduces the effective screen width. An alternative fix is to reduce
the icon size of the dock from 48 to 46 as this allows enough width
for Files to now snap to the sides. Visually there is little
difference, but 48 very much feels the right number (it matches native
icon image sizes, etc.), so unless a more drastic change to 32 makes
sense, I would suggest the preferred fix is to adjust Nautilus/Files -
other docks used on the side would presumably have similar problems
with a commonly used size for larger icons.
