Title:
Files cannot be moved from the desktop.
Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
PROBLEM 1
I'm selecting a file on the desktop.
I'm moving it to an open nautilus window.
The cursor takes the form of a hand.
The file is not moved.
The cursor retains its hand shape.
Nautilus remains usable.
Firefox is no longer usable (the cursor is no longer present).
PROBLEM 2
Similar actions, alternative results.
The file move behind the Nautilus windows, staying on desktop, but at a
different location.
Solution for unlocking problem 1:
use gnome-tweak, desktop parameters
deactivate icon on desktop.
reactivate icon on desktop.
Problem solved
Behavioral solution:
Use the Nautilus tree structure to move files from the desktop to other
folders.
