Title:
Options Number of elements & thumbnails set for local folders but are
active for remote folders as well
Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
On Debian wheezy - Nautilus 3.4.2
On Ubuntu 14.04 - Nautilus 3.10.1
------------------------------------
Both the options "Show Thumbnails" & "Show number of elements" are set
to "Local folders only".
What you expected to happen
---------------------------------
When I mount a davfs or cifs remote folder, only shown folder names without
the number of elements inside the folder and for the images, their file names
with generic thumbnails.
What happened instead
---------------------------
When I mount a davfs or cifs remote folder, thumbnails are created for images
and pdf and the number of elements is showed.
For folders with lots of images, pdf or dir & subdirs, it takes really
a long time to show its content and it consumes lots of unnecessary
process on the server.
If I set these 2 options to never, the content of the remote folders
are much much quicker (like 3 sec instead of 30 sec)
