Title:
Tab bar isn't needed when view/editing one file
Status in gedit:
Won't Fix
Status in gedit package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gedit
When viewing or editing just one file, the tab created is simply a
waste of space, as the same pertinent information is provided in the
title bar.
Gedit should have a behavior/toggle similar to the "Always show the tab bar"
toggle in Mozilla's Firefox:
"Always show the tab bar: If you're only viewing one web page in a Firefox
window, the tab bar is not normally shown. Check this preference to always show
the tab bar, including when only the Firefox window contains only one page."
