Title:
headphones don't work
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: software-center
The headphone jack used to work in Windows 7, but after installing
Ubuntu 10.10 the headphones don't work. When I use the headphones the
sound still comes out of the laptop as usual. I tried to edit this
file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf I added this line to the very end
of it:
options snd-hda-intel model=toshiba position_fix=0
That appears to do nothing. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite
L645D-S4030.
This is what I get when I run $ sudo lshw -c sound
*-multimedia
description: Audio device

capabilities: pm bus_master cap_list

resources: irq:16 memory:f4300000-f4303fff
Running $ alsamixer
tells me:

How do I get my headphones to work?
