Bug description:
Bug/problem description: On the hp dv2-1030us notebook, you get no
sound from your internal laptop speakers though you do get sound from
the headphone jack. (This apparently happens on other hp notebooks as
well with different audio controllers).
OS: Ubuntu Jaunty 64bit with all updates as of 5/14/09

Description of cause of problem: The cause, according to some alsa
developers, is an incorrect 'pin' assignment (in the BIOS, perhaps)
whereby sound output meant for the internal speakers gets routed to
the wrong place.
Solution: The latest alsa-driver snapshot provides a fix for this issue.
