Title:
nautilus menus do not show under certain circumstances

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
  Release: 12.04

  nautilus:
    Installed: 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu8
    Candidate: 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu8
    Version table:
   *** 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu8 0

launching nautilus as user doesn't show items in the menu bar. i.e File, Edit
all show up, but the dropdown's are empty.
launching nautilus as root show's these items.

Perhaps it has something to do with my user preferences, or user
  Bookmarks.

I could not find any other bugs or concerns about this.
