Did you install the Ubuntu package 'gnome-shell-extension-dashtodock' or did you get it from https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/307/dash-to- dock/ (or github)?

(tried to fix it) -laptop upgraded a few days ago dash-to-dock was working. Dash-to dock extension disabled on both, only info I have on this is an update stated transparency issue therefore disabling.
