Title: no way to ignore dis/connect messages Status in XChat-GNOME: Won't Fix Status in xchat-gnome package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: xchat-gnome This is similar to "Join/leave messages make chatrooms with many members almost unreadable"; however, it is not specific to a large channel. I simply don't want to see those messages in some channels regardless of the number of users connected. Version: 0.18 xchat-gnome In other IRC applications there is an option to hide this information by right-clicking on the channel name and adding custom settings for only that channel. This would be ideal. I believe the command ought to be: /ignore #channel JOINS PARTS However this throws back the error: Unknown arg 'JOINS' ignored. Unknown arg 'PARTS' ignored. Possible duplicate of: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /xchat-gnome/+bug/108818 different solution requested (i.e. not a solution based on the number of people in the channel).
