I was affected but I haven't seen it since 17.10, I seem to remember it
was actually fixed a long time ago, but this bug report must have been
forgotten.

Bug description:
On Ubuntu 17.10, I wanted to add gnome-terminal to the favorites.
Usually in Gnome, the item gets added one times. Instead, there were
two items of gnome-terminal in the favorites.
