Title:
Nautilus Bad Behavior With Many Items in Directory

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I am working with a directory with many files. Around 1000.

I am using Nautilus to try and move files into a subdirectory.

The subdirectory starts with 'M', so you have to scroll down several
  screens to get to it.

Whenever I select a file and start dragging it to the subdirectory,
Nautilus refreshes the view, and reverts the vertical position to the
  top.

This happens every time, before I am able to actually drag the files
  into the directory. It only

In short, the simple, user/newbie friendly mechanic of 'drag and drop
the file into the folder' doesn't work on thumbnails view unless the
folder is on the first screen of the results in the parent folder.

This is in Ubuntu 13.04, I don't think any dmesg or system specs are
relevant to this bug, so I won't list them.
