Hi, after you type the password, look on the left side of Software Center after "Installing (1)", also check in application menu for Skype (look in all the lists). To make sure that Skype wasn't installed, open Terminal and type "skype", if "unknown command" appears then the software isn't on your pc. Try to install this way: open Terminal and type: sudo apt-get install skype Or from this website: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-computer/linux/downloading.ubuntu32
If u can't install , post on ubuntu forum: http://ubuntuforums.org/ Have a good day. ** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to software-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899779 Title: Ubunto software center when i press install nothing happens Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: When i press install nothing happens it doesnt ask me to type my password or anything?
