Intel N3060 booting into black screen with 5.0 kernel

Bug description:
I updated xubuntu 19.04 to the new 5.0 kernel and it no longer boots,
staying on a black screen with stable cursor. I can however select
4.18 kernel from grub and it boots perfectly.
I am using Intel Celeron N3060 CPU.
