I find that the launcher in Gnome does not always accept the icon of a program. I have had difficulties with it accepting Firefox, Files and the Terminal icons. I "work around" seems to be to include the icon at the second last spot from the bottom. I have had this issue on two separate computers using the same configuration ie, Ubuntu 19.04 with vanilla Gnome shell 3.32. --- ProblemType: Bug ApportVersion: 2.20.10-0ubuntu27 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: GNOME DisplayManager: gdm3 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 19.04 GsettingsChanges: b'org.gnome.shell' b'favorite-apps' redacted by apport b'org.gnome.desktop.interface' b'gtk-im-module' b"'gtk-im-context-simple'" InstallationDate: Installed on 2019-04-18 (5 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 19.04 "Disco Dingo" - Release amd64 (20190416) Package: gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.0.0-13.14-generic 5.0.6 Tags: third-party-packages disco Uname: Linux 5.0.0-13-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1825624/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
