Chromium browser closes as soon as it is opened

Bug description:
Was using Chromium as a second browser when it closed down
unexpectedly. Restarting the browser results in a brief flicker as the
browser starts up and then immediately closes again.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to this web page: http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/edit/S1gkEMuoE-
Note that the above web page was the first one to crash on me, but after a
successful restart, it seems that the web browser can crash at any point.

3. I cannot reopen the browser
