If the user creates a file with LibreOffice and then moves/deletes it,
the next time they try to open it from the 'Recent files' list they will
receive a warning that it no longer exists, but no offer to remove it
from the list.

This should change so that they get that offer, since it will mean the
list becomes populated with broken links that they can't do anything
about.

The list is of a fixed size so once you open enough documents that do
exist the old ones will eventually fall off the bottom, so does it
really matter ? And if the file is on a share temporarily unavailable
then it's still on the list after an unsuccessful open attempt to reuse
on reconnection to the share.

FWIW trying e.g. gedit and its recently used files, then it opens a new
blank one if it doesn't exist, while gimp does the same as LibreOffice
and leaves the unfound file in the recently used list.
