Title:
openvpn option --mssfix needs a numeric value
Status in network-manager-openvpn package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager-openvpn
According the man page of openvpn, --mssfix needs a numeric parameter
limiting the packet size, e. g. --mssfix 1400.
Only, if --fragment is set, the value of --fragment is taken as
argument to --mssfix. --mssfix alone seems to be without effect.
Unfortunately, setting --fragment via the GUI does not work in my
setup (which seems to depend on the server side), but using --mssfix
1400 by calling openvpn on CLI (instead of --mssfix without argument
as called by Network Manager) solves the connection problems that I
had.
Therefore, I suggest to change the configuration dialog for --mssfix
to the same style as for --fragment, where a packet size can be set.
